Sara Hurst
Head of Projects Office
Sara Hurst holds a Bachelor in Biochemistry and has over 23 years’ experience in European
proposal preparation and project management. She set up and ran the International and
European project unit at Institut d’investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer
(IDIBAPS/Fundació Clínic) per a la recerca Biomèdica at Hospital Clínic in Barcelona.
In 2013, she joined the Pirbright Institute (UK) to manage and improve their national and international funding portfolio. There, she gained experience in reviewing and evaluating grants in order to raise the level of quality and success in the national research council funding schemes.
She is now leading the Projects Office of the P-CMR[C] – Program for Clinical Translation of Regenerative Medicine in Catalonia, where she helps researchers every step of the way, from grant application through to successful project closure and is actively involved in shaping the funding strategy of the Regenerative Medicine Program at IDIBELL.
